Nutmeg Orchid Society was organized in 2008 and is affiliated with the American Orchid Society.

NSOS meets 12:30 to 4:30 the first Sunday of the month in Unionville, CT.  Our monthly meetings offer a Show & Tell table, plants for sale, access to a lending library, and well known speakers  from across the United States.

We also offer an annual picnic, an annual orchid show, and other special events that provide opportunities for members to learn about orchids.

At our October 5 meeting  Beth from Waldor Orchids will cover Dendrobiums, the different kinds, where they come from, and their cultural requirements. Plants will be available for purchase. She will also have orchids available for our members to purchase.

Members with last names beginning with N to Z are asked to bring a dessert or snack to the meeting.

If you have a plant that is in bloom, bring it for the Show & Tell table

Go to our Events page for more upcoming events.
